 Version History

1.13 Sunday, June 2, 2002
  Considering how long it takes for Visual Basic apps to really shut down, I fixed this one by making it's terminal window still remain while the app still shuts down.
  Went thru source to rename some variables to their more true meaning.
  Now can choose an alternative settings editor if the Notepad is not found.
  Made the source to compile for speed. I've just proved that DO LOOPs and FOR NEXT loops run much faster if compiled for this. I hope it helps with lag.
  Made -profile x# # function to copy one of your profile onto another.
  Made the shipreset bot. Players can reset their ships with -shipreset. Or it can be set to ship reset everyone periodically.
  Bot can now die but only when a player is right on top of him and firing. There's no other way accept if I make the bot read the server's settings and then calculate where the weapons are flying. But that's not gonna happen.
  Made AntiWarpBot with the new .ini settings (Works only with Continuum because only it can receive the *warpto command from bot):
   AntiWarpBot=
   AntiWarpBoxX1=   X1.......................
   AntiWarpBoxY1=   Y1                      .
   AntiWarpBoxX2=   .                      X2
   AntiWarpBoxY2=   .......................Y2
   AntiWarpPixels=
  Op List is removed and the ops will now have to -login. Op List was wrong cause if someone got a hold of your alias's password and they are Zone Sysop they will have sysop of the zone. Operators.txt is no longer used.
   New .ini settings for the ops will be
    [BotOp Passwords]
    Simple BotOp Password=
    Account BotOp Password=
    Super BotOp Password=
    [ZoneOp Passwords]
    Moderator ZoneOp Password=
    SuperModerator ZoneOp Password=
    Sysop ZoneOp Password=
   Make sure you change them to your own so that no one else that downloaded this bot will know them.

1.12 Friday, January 11, 2002
  Added FlyCenter variable so you change around what center the bot flies.
  LYNXBot is posted on Subspace.net for the first time
1.11 Thursday, January 10, 2002
  Can now Recycle Server from individual spawns instead of last spawned bot.
1.10 Sunday, January 7, 2002
  Made Profiles function. Players can set their profiles with -profile. The profiles are saved in Profiles.txt

 Known Facts

Compiling the code for speed doesn't help with the bot lag. Only changing it's priority does. But FOR NEXT and DO LOOP loops run much faster.
Machine ID for each bot can only be changed by editing .INI (anything non numeric will be the bot's default hard drive's machine id)
Bot's time zone can only be changed by editing .INI (0 or anything non numeric will be it's computers time zone. anything greater or less than 0 will adjust it's time zone west or east)
If Priority is saved in settings as 256 (Real Time) and you just started computer and the started LYNXBot, the bot will stop responding completely in the middle of logins.

       ߿
 Known Faults

There will be times when server disconnects last bot connected and you won't be able to recycle server from menu. That's because the server didn't send disconnect packet to the MERVBot.
LocalIP must be the same for all the locally spawned bots in order for ZopeOp function to work properly.
If an op is going to be set with the bot using the -op command (going to be ZoneOp), the op must login as a regular player or not be in sysop.txt, smod.txt or moderate.txt
Spawning bot will be kicked out for message flooding when spawned while there are more than 2 players in zone and Alias Finder is enabled.
Op List works for any bot spawned; Local and Remote spawned.
?setlevel doesn't seem to have effect when a moderator Zone Op is set by the bot and not by the moderate.txt
