How do you use Turret Creator?
-----------------------------
Using a text editor such as notepad, you create a list file (see below for the format). Here are the normal steps you would follow:

1. Create a list file (see the next section for how to do this).
2. Open it in Turret Creator and choose the turret ship type, banner, etc... under the Options menu. You may also choose to generate image map HTML for use on a webpage.
3. Click create!
4. Optionally, you may wish to choose "Crop" on the Options menu to reduce the size of the BMP file that you will be saving.
5. On the file menu, click "Save Image As". Now you have a BMP file.

If you plan on using this image for an image map on a webpage, use a graphics program to convert it to GIF or JPG. Make sure that you name it the same thing as the file you specified when Turret Creator asked you for a filename for "Generate Image Map". (DO NOT USE MS PAINT TO CONVERT THE BITMAP, IT MESSES UP THE COLORS! Or at least it does on my machine... don't use it, anyway. Use Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or whatever can convert BMP files to other formats.)

Editing turret list text files
-------------------------------
The format for entries in list files is as follows:

<name> tab <email> tab <bounty>

Don't include the <'s and >'s. Here are what the fields mean:

Name - the name of the player on the turret
Email - e-mail address of the player (only used when generating image maps)
Bounty - what appears in parentheses after the player's name

Note: The bounty doesn't have to be a number.

See sample list.txt to see an example list file.
