Check the help file although it possibly needs to be updated i don't feel like writing all the stuff out :)

if you have used SSME it's pretty much the same. so i'll just list the differences here
check the changes.txt file for known bugs and changes



there are no filled shapes if you want a filled shape then make a shape and use the fill tool.

copy cut paste moving around selections all that stuff is not functional yet

rotate a selection!! some poeple have really been begging for this, the one limitation on this the selection must be square(hold shift when making a selection)

smart tiling
  from the smart tile menu you must go define the tiles in the tileset, check the seperate smarttile.html for more detailed
  if smart tiling is enabled then things like flipping and rotating selections will try to retile themselves and should work if you properly define the tiles

it's a beta things might not work right. if they don't then do this

check changes.txt to see if it is already listed there.
check the website(once we have one) to get the most updated known bug list
